Working with Beenish has been one of the most eye-opening and comforting experiences of my journey as a mother and an individual. I met her at a point in my life where I needed constant support and guidance being a Muslim mom and a wife.

She creates a space that is warm, welcoming …

Values that guide us

We’re proud providers of peer support based on our shared experiences, and positive recovery journey. We’ve been there, done that, felt that, dealt with that.

We’re also proud to be active participants and advocates of the positive recovery movement where focus is on recovery and growth rather than on absence of disease.

First-hand experience of life’s events is called lived experience. Our own lived experience guides our service design and delivery, and gives us unique perspective of going through the challenges in real life instead of learning about them from other sources. When we recover positively from anything in life as a result of direct experience, we gain insights, tools and a healthy mindset that allows us to become a source of joy and strength for others.

We’re champions of trauma-informed care and strengths-based language. Instead of asking, ‘what’s wrong?’, we ask, ‘what happened?’. Taking on a whole-person approach to healing rather than treatment, we work with our clients towards independence and holistic health.

As experts by experience of having lived with mental health conditions, trauma, sudden loss of a loved one, parenting multiple kids, we carry hope because we’ve lived it. Not only that, we’ve grown through it, not just gone through it.

Personal experience allows us to offer valuable advice that’s practical because it’s rooted in reality, not toxic positivity.

Positive thinking is an asset in managing disease, but it is not a cure, nor is negative thinking the cause of all disease … (instead) we can achieve well-being when certain conditions are met and people are given the space and resources to find meaning in their life, meet their needs, and cope with their environment.

Our consciousness of Allāh Subhānahu wa ta’ālā  makes it easy for us to do the right thing. Be it protecting the privacy of our clients or being just in all dealings. We treat client information as amānah.

We provide strictly confidential services rooted in Ikhlās (sincerity) where client safety and client’s trust are the key priorities.

The Islamic value of Ihsān is reflected in our service excellence where every client, every story, every session and every interaction are treated with care and attention to detail. We aim to lay a stable foundation for recovery and growth by building on the basics. We equip our clients with the right tools and advise encouraging them to ‘thrive, not just survive’. Our coaching programs help young and old to give their best shot at living by focusing on effort over outcome. Indeed, outcome rests only in the hands of Allāh Subhānahu wa ta’ālā.

Anas ibn Malik reported: A man said, “O Messenger of Allāh, should I tie my camel and trust in Allāh, or should I leave her untied and trust in Allāh?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Tie her and trust in Allāh”.

Our service is centred around Tawakkul – our unwavering trust in Allāh Subhānahu wa ta’ālā. This serves as an ‘anchor’ to manage challenges in life with calming strength and perspective, and helps instil:
sense of hope in our clients to strive for a better tomorrow,
motivation to live fully and actively,
peace of mind that comes from knowing that Allāh is the best planner, and
sense of gratitude for life’s countless blessings.

Grounded in Tawakkul, we encourage our clients to use practical techniques for immediate relief and long-term emotional safety and stability.

Story of The Trusted Space

(in the words of the founder)

For years, I’ve heard many parenting stories from friends and community members through shared wisdom, honest chats and parenting workshops. I’ve had the honour to serve Muslim communities by supporting parents with free and practical advice, tips and tools to develop a deeper connection with their kids. I’ve seen a ripple effect of positive interactions where families have benefitted. However, there’s an urgent need for us to create safe spaces for our fellow Muslims where no one suffers in silence.

Where families come first, and come out the other end, stronger …

I’ve led by example as a Muslim wife, mother, friend, and working professional.

What I’ve come to believe is that sometimes we all need that someone to hold a safe space for us with care and trust. Experience also plays a key role.

Coaching has helped me across different areas of my life. Today, I believe I can be the guiding light for other Muslim parents, women, and working professionals achieve more with sincere advice, proven tools and a process that works.
